welcome to my werkshop
Woodworking is not something you simply pick up and run with. It’s an art form. You have to learn. You have to grow. And the more woodworkers you have around you, the better. That’s what My Werkshop is all about.

Browse the Werkshops of other woodworkers, see what they're working on. Offer your own advice, critique or simply admire. Whatever your goal, get involved. Make your mark, and maybe learn a thing or two. Welcome to My Werkshop.

The Werkshop is back online!
Well we're excited to turn things back on, now that we're in our new, faster server! In the next week, we'll be adding a couple new Shop Themes for you to use, based on pictures sent in by our members. We're also looking for feedback from you guys, on how we can improve My Werkshop. Simply email us your ideas at rsmith@woodwerks.com

We need your shop!

As I'm sure you've all noticed, we're making improvements on a daily basis now. We've added comments, favorites and many other tools designed to make it easier to setup your own Werkshop. Today I'm directing my attention on our Themes. We currently have two simple themes, and I'd like to see us get to 10.

Each theme consists of a single photo of a workshop (1280x1024 minimum resolution) and a matching color set for the rest of the interface. So now, we need photos of your shops!

If you have a beautiful or unique woodworking shop, and would like to see us turn it into a theme, email me a photo at rsmith@woodwerks.com. It doesn't matter if it's clean or dirty, in your basement or your garage, just take a well lit photo and send it in! I can't guarantee we'll use every submission, but all are appreciated.

The Powermatic Custom PM2066

As I posted on the Wood Werks front page, we've finally taken the wraps off of our deal with Powermatic. Soon you'll be able to order a custom built Powermatic PM 2000, with your choice in color, a Baldor motor and a lot more. Check out the Wood Werks front page for more info. I'll try to post here with new info when I can.

Upcoming changes
We're off and moving! I wanted to thank so many of you for helping us get My Werkshop started, by creating your own shop, and posting your woodworking projects in it.

Every day we're adding new features. Here are a few that are coming this week:

Comments
Every project entry will have it's own list of comments left by other users. The last three comments will be present on your main Werkshop page, as well as the "Project Details" page. At the top of the comments section, you'll be able to click a link that will display all comments left for that project entry, on one page.

Favorites
Each project will have a button below it that allows you to mark that project as one of your favorites. This will put a link to that project on your Werkshop page. This way, you can help other Woodwerkers find the same great projects that you do.

I'll post more as we continue to improve the site. If you have any comments, questions or ideas, please email them to me here: rsmith@woodwerks.com
